Packaging, storage and transportation of chemicals (III)

1.2.2 storage methods

there are three storage methods for hazardous chemicals: isolated storage, separated storage and separated storage

· isolated storage refers to the storage mode in which different materials are separated by a certain distance in the same room or in the same area, and non taboo materials are kept in space by channels

· separated storage refers to the storage mode in which taboo materials are separated by partitions or walls in the same building or area

· separate storage refers to the storage mode in different buildings or external areas away from all buildings

1.2.3 storage arrangement and storage limit, which makes the share of plastic packaging in the market increase accordingly

storage arrangement of hazardous chemicals depends on the classification, sub items, container type, storage mode and fire protection requirements of hazardous chemicals

· dangerous chemicals that cause combustion, explosion, chemical reaction or toxic gas in case of fire, heat and humidity shall not be stored in open air or wet and ponded buildings

· hazardous chemicals that can cause chemical reactions to cause combustion, explosion, decomposition and combination or toxic gases when exposed to sunlight should be stored in class I buildings. The package shall be protected from light

· explosives are not allowed to be stored together with other items, and must be isolated and stored in limited quantities. Warehouses are not allowed to be built in cities and towns, and a certain safe distance should be maintained from surrounding buildings, trunk roads and transmission lines

· compressed gas and liquefied gas must be stored separately from explosive substances, oxidants, inflammables, spontaneous combustion substances, corrosive substances, etc. Flammable gas shall not be stored together with combustion supporting gas and highly toxic gas; Oxygen shall not be mixed with grease for storage; Pressure vessels containing liquefied gases must be installed with pressure gauges, safety valves and emergency cut-off devices, and checked regularly, and shall not be overfilled

· flammable liquids, inflammables in wet conditions and flammable solids shall not be mixed with oxidants for storage, and oxidants with reducibility shall be stored separately

· toxic substances should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place, and should not be stored in the open air or close to acids

· corrosive goods must be packed tightly, no leakage is allowed, and it is strictly prohibited to coexist with liquefied gases and other goods. There is no lining plate between the jaw chuck and the jaw base and the storage arrangement is shown in the table
